We survived the neighborhood home tour this past weekend, and it was a fantastic weekend for us. Naively I hadn’t really thought about how much work it was going to be to participate both on the committee as well as have our home ready for the tour. But it was worth all the blood, sweat, and tears because our committee reached our fundraising goal before the event even happened.
I was a little nervous about being at our house all day. I mean, we’re kind of out there with all our color and pattern and craziness. And I’ve received my fair share of Internet commenters who have opinions But I was thrilled at how many people walked in the door and said “It’s so HAPPY!”
Bebe’s was our tabletop sponsor for the tour. I LOVE the Bebe’s girls – they have such great style and they pulled together an amazing tablescape for the dining room. Can we talk about those pagodas for a sec? I NEED THEM.
A Date with Iris provided all of the floral arrangements for our house – didn’t they do a lovely job? So happy and colorful.
More blooms from A Date with Iris in an old Hediard tea tin that I bought as a student in Paris eons ago. Also? Marimekko for Target. LOVE IT ALL.
The kitchen was so perfectly bright and pretty. Of course, it will NEVER LOOK THIS WAY AGAIN. #kids
Again, big thanks to all our sponsors, volunteers, and army of committee members who made this event happen.
