Get the look: Mark Sikes

Interiors

Last weekend in Dallas, I made it a priority to pop into the Draper James store there.  Designed by Mr. Blue & White Obsessed Forever, Mark D. Sikes, those interiors are ev-er-y-thing.  I wish I’d brought my good camera because there was a ton of eye candy and inspiration.  Alas, these iPhone pix will have to do, but they’re still pretty inspiring.

DRAPER JAMES DALLAS

It’s all about the mix of pattern and solids. I love that there’s a bold statement with the floral wallpaper, but overall it’s tempered with lots of white. The artwork is all Kayce Hughes, I think.  Serena & Lily Riviera barstools.  And the trim on those drapes is making me all kinds of kerfuffled.

I die for these navy lacquer etageres. YASSSS.

Overall, it’s so lovely — beautiful but doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is right up my alley.

Nobody does pattern mixing-and-matching like Mark.

GET THE LOOK

He now sells his line with Henredon online at One Kings Lane. It’s not cheap, but I think you could definitely get the look (contrast welting, limed oak, for example) elsewhere.
