With all the activity on our newly white master bedroom this week, I’m in planning mode for the final look. Our poor room has been sadly neglected the past few years and it’s time for an update as it was time to move on from the pastel green. Something a little more calming and sophisticated since we have so much color happening elsewhere, you know? And maybe the big thing that pushed me forward is that our house will be featured in our neighborhood’s first-ever home tour this spring, which is the perfect excuse to get miscellaneous projects done. Also code for STRESS. But it’s for a good cause, so all’s good.
I’ve been rounding up some inspiration shots from around the web of white master bedrooms with (wait for it – it’s a shocker! haha) blue accents. I really want to do some blue drapes of some kind – some really nice ones, like these pleated linen drapes from Loom Decor (side note: drapes are EXPENSIVE gahhh).
These drapes are exactly what I have in mind. So chic.

This bedroom from Serena & Lily is my absolute favorite. So gorgeous.

Again with the loverly drapes. Love the pop of orange here too.

But then what if I did patterned drapes? Those are fun too. I love this whole white bedroom. It’s calm and soothing in a Carlton Landing way.

But then there’s THIS little beauty which is colorful, chic, and pattern happy. Hmmm.
House Beautiful
Pretty texture in this neutralish white master bedroom thanks to the wallpaper, small scale patterned rug, and fur throw.
I have to say, I really am loving how our big white fluffy bed looks in the formal living room as we’re squatting in here for the time being til the wood floors get laid next week. I’m kinda wishing we could knock out a wall in our existing master and put in a bunch of windows. The master is the darkest room in the whole house and doesn’t really get much direct sunlight. Our formal living room is so bright and airy.
Decisions, decisions. Stay tuned! And if you have any resources for drapes, send ’em my way!
