3 ways to decorate with tomato red & blue

Interiors

The Annie Selke & Apartment Therapy Rug Design Challenge is coming down to the line. Voting ends on July 20th and I need all the help you can give me. Please hop over to THIS IMAGE and double-tap it to vote. That’s all you have to do! Of my 3 designs it’s the one that’s gotten the most votes so it’s the one I’m primarily focusing on, but feel free to like all 3 images (OPTION 2 AND OPTION 3). You guys are the best!

RELAXED FAMILY ROOM

In this room I envision a pair of swivel slipcovered chairs in an easy to care for linen with touches of natural fibers thanks to the hanging pendant and the oversized floor pillows. Keep it contemporary with an interesting floor lamp and a fun side table.

COLOR-FILLED MODERN ECLECTIC BEDROOM

I am obsessed with this whole layout. Mix a slipcovered upholstered bed in a cherry tomato hue but give your eye a break with white furniture and cool accents to tone down the heat of all that warm color. I love the juxtaposition of a super-modern sconce with the side table and traditional ginger jars.  Hang a round element like a mirror or a juju hat over the bed to break up all the linear-ness of the space.

NEOTRAD NAUTICAL BREAKFAST NOOK

I love this particular setup. Modern artwork mixed with photography and a truly show-stopping chandelier. SIGN ME UP. Bold red Chinese chippendale chairs from Ballard Design are a happy match to a clean and contemporary Saarinen-style tulip table.
