Every home needs a landing place – that spot for bags, keys, gardening shoes or sports equipment that really doesn’t have a spot anywhere else( and otherwise accumulates on your kitchen floor).  It serves a different and far more functional purpose than your front entryway and needs to be able to take a beating on the regular.
