Change is in the air here and the entryway is getting a makeover! My new Thibaut wallpaper arrived last week and quickly got hung earlier this week. I can’t wait to show you the final reveal, but I thought I’d give you a sneak peek in the meantime of my design direction.

It’s funny, when I was borrowing wallpaper books, I kept looking at this paper and loved it (Thibaut’s Cabrera) but I really didn’t think that Simon would like a floral, so I kept passing it by. Finally once we sat down together and analyzed the different choices, he was like, “Why aren’t you going for that floral?” My jaw dropped. (This is why COMMUNICATION IS ERRRRTHANG, you guys! See post on designing for the sexes haha)  Crisp navy and white graphic floral? Well okay! Sign me up!

I’ll be honest – I was really nervous about committing to such a bold wallpaper (I KNOW – and me, the queen of color and pattern, afraid?!). But the minute I picked it up and brought it home, I was sold. It’s going to be surprisingly versatile, I think. In fact, I might do a post showing different ways to style around a bold wallpaper…  The options really are surprisingly endless.
