Today’s post has been so fun for me to pull together. The entryway wallpaper has been hung and the makeover is complete! I still need to hang a few pictures, but I am digging the total transformation (see the entryway inspiration post here). It still kind of catches me off guard every time I walk through to see how totally different it is.
Maybe my favorite part of the entryway is this gorgeous striped drum pendant that Stray Dog Designs sent us. That aqua blown glass finial is like the perfect piece of jewelry for the entryway. I cannot get enough of it – and the gold interior reflects the light from both of the bulbs, which is great since the original light fixture in there barely cast any light at all. Form and function, Internet! Yes!
It might feel a lot to commit to such a bold wallpaper, but I’m finding it to be surprisingly versatile. Navy is my favorite “neutral” because so many different colors play so well with it. Tomato red, sunshine yellow, aqua, hot pink – it can all work.
I’ve got a handful of my first-round samples from my collaboration with Jill Rosenwald on the campaign desk to catch keys and iPhone cases. YUM.
I snapped up this mirror from Crate & Barrel to hang over my vintage campaigner desk and it’s MASSIVE. It’s got a fun graphic scallop detail all the way around. You should’ve seen me hanging the darn thing – I was terrified I was going to drop it.
Extra points for you if you see the chihuahua photobomber in the photo above. 😉
I’m not 100% convinced about the runner – it feels a little busy and in all that pattern, I think we might need something a little calmer. But we already had it, and I love it so much that I want to make it work. Even though neighbor kids and dog and dirt and alllllll the things manage to get tracked all over it (remember this?)
I can’t wait to play around with different accessories – I’m already envisioning how fun some orange pumpkins are going to be in here. And Christmas?! Bring on the seasonal decorating!
