A word of thanks

Family

with thanks

You guys. You have totally overwhelmed my family with so many well wishes, sweet emails, texts, and more about our upcoming arrival. I cannot say thank you enough.  Really. You have blessed us beyond measure – and I really don’t like the overuse of the word “blessed” but I sincerely mean it here.

A few things to update, since you’ve asked.  I’m due February 1st, but I’m imagining that I’ll probably be scheduled earlier for a c-section at the end of January somewhere.  I have to have a c-section since I’ve had my colon removed; they don’t want you to try for a vaginal delivery since it places too much strain on the jpouch. I don’t really mind – I was kind of relieved to have a c-section with Jude and it was no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Is Jude excited? Yes.  You might’ve seen on FB when I mentioned what he said the other night. Simon asked him if he was going to be a helper when the baby comes at the end of January. “Oh yes, ” he replied sweetly and earnestly. “When it cries, I will let it out of its cage, wrap it in blankets, and bring it downstairs to you.” I have died laughing ever since this. I’m just envisioning the baby in a crate with the poopies. HAAAAAAA

In other news, the shop will be reopening tomorrow morning! Hooray!  It’s been a much-needed hiatus and I am now ready to get back in the swing of things. I’ll be adding a couple of new designs, too!

with love,
Rachel
