Patterns I love: Gingham

Graphic Design

Gingham seems to be cropping up everywhere lately. I’m really attracted to this pattern but I’m glad to see it in a more modern interpretation these days. It’s in fashion and in interiors as well as paper goods.

Hastens bed in blue gingham. It would almost be a shame to put sheets on this bed!

Totally hokey-looking with the toile, but I think this could be really crisp and modern paired against a great contrasting color like robin’s egg blue or pale green.

Cute chair cover for Pottery Barn Kid’s Anywhere chair.

Pale and sweet – from J.Crew

A funkier interpretation from J.Crew’s spring line.

At less than $25, this shirtdress from Old Navy would be an inexpensive way to include the trend in your wardrobe. I tried this one on in-store, and while I’m not much of an ON fan b/c of the poor quality, I did really like the way this dress fit.

I’ve shown this photo before from Lucy & Co., and while I still hate the furnishings — too country — I adore the way the walls look.

An excellent way to mix fabrics and still come out on top. Notice the little gingham ottoman. Perfection.

What do you think? Will you be adding more pattern to your wardrobe?
