Heavenly Honeysuckle

Interiors

By now you’ve probably heard the buzz about Pantone’s Color of the Year for Fashion + Home: the delightfully pink Honeysuckle.  Pink is such a tricky color; if you’ve ever tried to paint a little girl’s room, you know what I’m talking about. But I’m glad to see this color brought to the forefront as more than just a color for kids’ rooms. With the right accents, this can be a surprisingly chic color.

A pink nursery that doesn’t look sickeningly pepto-bismol.

Can you even imagine having pink carpet?! Wow.

But this is probably my favorite image of them all. I think this is the perfect use and embodiment of honeysuckle.

YUM – this is a gorgeous, modern space. And I just noticed that there are pocket doors in that curvy doorway – genius. And again, the pink is just the right accent. In this shade, it’s not overtly feminine, either. It’s just bold and chic.

And while this is not quite the same color, I like the way other colors play off of the painted shelves. Dee-lightful!

How ’bout you? Will you try out Honeysuckle at all this year?

with love,
Rachel
