Furniture Perusing

Miscellaneous

I popped into Pier 1 yesterday, which is always a hit or miss for me. Back in the day, when I thought papasan seats were just the bomb, I was all over Pier 1. Anymore, I’ve been disappointed. But lately, it seems they’re on the way back. Less El Paso Imports, more Z Gallerie. I happened to see this chair, and I can’t stop thinking about it:

Their website says it’s on clearance for $350, but I could have sworn I saw it marked at $300. Hmm. Anyway, it’s a really beautiful chair. It would be particularly fab as a pair of them – and at that price, you can’t beat that. This photo makes it look a little more purply, but it was a rich chocolate velvet. Nice velvet, too. All in all, a steal for such a quality chair.

And! AND! I scored big time with a fantastic side table that I need to photograph, but it looks kinda/somewhat/sorta similar to this one from WSHome:Except it wasn’t $400. It was $40. And I like it so much, I kinda wish I had a pair of them. RIght now I have it in the back living room, but it did look very sharp next to my green velvet couch in the formal living room. And it was such a deal, I tell you!

While perusing a few other sites, I saw this beautiful moss green wreath from Pottery Barn. This is so beautiful, and it really would be a year-round kind of wreath. It’s just cheery that way. On sale for $39.

Their new Terrace mirrored buffet is also catching my eye. It’s the mix of dark wood, typographic swirls, and mirrors that is attractive to me, I think. I was also happy to see that they have their version of an X bench. I particularly like that you can pick your own fabric from their options. I wish, though, that it was less expensive.

with love,
Rachel
