Loving: Partners & Spade

When we were in NYC a few weeks back, I made it a point to visit several of J.Crew’s specialty shops. It’s J.Crew heaven there. Seemingly their creative director Jenna Lyons is the one who receives most of the praise, and rightfully so. But lately their menswear has been ramping up.  The creative genius behind some of their advertising & menswear store design is Partners & Spade …  Spade, as in, Andy Spade, husband of the delightfully stylish Kate Spade. I really enjoyed perusing Partners & Spade’s website, and seeing so many inspiring images. Quirky, whimsical, and they tell a story.

The Liquor Store is one of J.Crew’s concept stores for guys. That logo is so simple and masculine.

Of course they would have some hand in Kate Spade’s projects as well, including their logo.  I love this ad image.

Some identity projects from Partners & Spade. Again, simple simple simple. But still compelling.

They also have a storefront with a wide variety of found objects, books, etc.
