A couple of weeks ago I got a message from an Etsy customer who was interested in my paperweight designs, but possibly in the form of coasters. Could I make her a set of 4, she asked. Um, yes! Of course! And it just so happened that I had a set of coasters that were in the wings to be created. So happily she became my guinea pig and I wanted to show you the final product.

Attracted initially to the scallop paperweight design, she requested three different colors and she wanted a monogram instead of her name.

And since I’m printing these in-house and everything is handmade, I was also able to do each coaster in a different colorway.  Didn’t they turn out fun?

I haven’t decided yet if I want to offer these in the shop yet.  It was kind of a lot of work, but they did turn out lovely.  Oh, and the bases are covered in cork.
