Fall home tour: front porch

Celebrations

Pumpkins! Topiaries! Let the season begin.

Internet, we flew in to Oklahoma City from NYC late last night and it was such a glorious weekend in Manhattan. I have so many cool things to show you! But I’ll be spending the day cuddling Sir Archer and catching up on loads and loads of laundry. I shot these pics of our front porch last week before we left and I’m crossing my fingers that the squirrels haven’t feasted on those pretty gourds yet. DARN YOU, SQUIRRELS.

Those topiaries are going to see a lot of action over the next few months. They’re faux since apparently the only thing I can keep alive is Harry the Fiddle Leaf Fig (debatable) and my dog and children.  Serena & Lily Riviera chairs.

I also tossed in a few faux black pumpkins to mix in with the real ones. Those were from Target a few years ago. I still love their little gold stems.  And to make those planters look like they were overflowing with pumpkins, I wrapped a towel around the base of the topiary to give it some bulk and then was able to put the pumpkins there on the surface. #stylingtricks

Ok, guys – that does it for today. Come back for the launch of the fall One Room Challenge later this week, and some fun accessible trends that I saw in NYC over the weekend.
