Thanksgiving Week This & That

I’m down for the count today with a nasty chest thing that I’m assuming is bronchitis – because, you know, me and Dr. Google are tight like that. But I figured I’d pop in for a quick update.  Check out our new white Christmas tree! It’s naked right now because it’s coming with me to the Pop Up Shops, but I couldn’t wait to see what it was going to look like in the living room. I’m working on a special Christmas decor post with Land of Nod – it’s going to be so pretty!

This is the crazy week for me – don’t even talk to me about Thanksgiving, because frankly that’s the last thing I’m thinking about. This week for me is all about the Pop-Up shops and being sick isn’t exactly helping. We’re in full on prep mode over here, and thank goodness for Nancy who is my right-hand girl right now!

Quick reminder to those of you in the OKC area: the Pop Ups are NOT in the same location as last year. A couple people have mentioned the Myriad Gardens to me on social media, and while they are doing their own Winter Market, it’s not the same event as the Holiday Pop Ups. This year we’re in Midtown, near St Anthony Hospital and the roundabout there by Saturn Grill & Kaiser’s. Check out the Holiday Pop Up shop website for full map, directions, etc. There is plenty of parking.

More OKC news —  Over the weekend, I spent a good part of Saturday at Uptown Candy helping them get last-minute stuff prepped. They’re finally officially open and I cannot wait to show you everything! If you’re here in town, you must hop in and check it out.  Hopefully I’ll get in there to photograph it next week. Everything turned out so good – the buildout is stunning!

But we also managed to sneak in a visit to my favorite holiday shop, North Pole City. It’s our Christmas tradition to visit North Pole City, see Santa, and pick out a special ornament or two. This year we picked out a cruise ship Old World Christmas ornament in honor of our Disney cruise. Those are my favorite ornaments and I’m slowly building our collection.

Finally, I shared a few sneak peeks on Instagram of a photoshoot we did with Shannon Ho. She approached us about doing a Day in the Life session with us, and I was so happy to be a part of it. Here in the next week or two I’m going to share the rest of them with you – and FYI, she’s starting to accept bookings for 2014 after being on sabbatical.

jude-and-rachel-by-shannon-hosOk, that’s all for me for today – I’m resting up, filling orders, and finalizing last minute details for pop ups.

Come back tomorrow for all the news on a FUN new collaboration I’m working on with Studio DIY!
