Week in Review

Family

Happy Friday, amigos!  First of all, thank you to everyone who commented yesterday on my post. It means the world to me – every comment, tweet, thought, prayer. Really. It does. I was slightly scared to hit “publish” on that one, to be honest. But at my core, I’m about transparency — I can’t bottle it up or keep it all in. So you get the good, the bad, the ugly, and the glittery with me.

Nordstrom

In happy news, a few of my iPhone cases that I designed for Nordstrom popped up in their spring catalog (mine are the ones on the left — the one on the far right is Jonathan Adler). At first, Simon was like, “Why are you posting pictures of shorts?” I told him to look a little closer. Such fun product styling.

Over on FB, I mentioned that we’re on a hunt for a new mattress. Ours is – sadly – only 5 years old, but there’s a pretty bad sag happenin’ over there. Tempurpedic seems to be the #1 recommendation, but I’d love to hear what else you guys have to say on the matter. My gold standard? The Sealy mattresses at the Aria in Las Vegas (ka-ching). Now THAT was a comfy bed.

spectrum-paint

This week I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with the lovely folks at Spectrum Paint. They’re sponsoring an upcoming redo we’re working on and I can’t wait to see how it’s all going to turn out. I was sent home with a bajillion paint books and swatches and I am in total color heaven.  And you guys REALLY liked talking about it on Instagram.

PAINTERS-PALETTE-Collection

Let’s see, what else … oh, the brand new Painter’s Palette collection was added to the shop this week. Here is for iPhone and iPad.

Elsewhere on the web, here’s what I’m loving this week —

Cutie pie Julia over at Lemon Stripes wrote a great post  on how to work from home successfully.
DesignMom’s latest Living with Kids tour featured Hollywood Housewife‘s amazing LA home. That pool!
You’ve probably seen that post floating around on “Stop Instagramming your perfect life”. Whitney’s response is spot-on.
This post at the Beauty Department is a game-changer for those of you who use curling irons.

with love,
Rachel
