I forgot to post these from our State Fair adventure last weekend. If you’re an Instagram follower, these are nothing new. In retrospect, I wish I’d taken my good camera because it’s such a glut of amazing color and light – perfect for some fun photos. Oh well, next year.

Do you go to the state fair where you live? I can count on one hand how many times I went as a kid, while Simon and his family were there every year with bells on. In fact, his uncle’s family travels to the OK fair every year since they’ve been dating. Their family get buttons made with their photos at the same booth – they have over 25 buttons! It’s a pretty neat little family history there.

Admittedly I am not that enthusiastic about the fair, despite the photographic evidence to the contrary above.  It may have something to do with the heckling guys with no teeth who want my baby to come play the random games on the midway. Thanksbutnothanks, scary dude. And while you’re at it, enjoy explaining to the 4 year old why you can’t play every single game along the way because they cost $5 each time. Regardless, Disney on Ice was a hit and we stuffed ourselves silly with delicious fair food.
