Calling all OKC bloggers! The speed mentoring event is this Saturday, April 18, from 2 – 4 pm at the Downtown Library. Full details are below, in case you want to forward them on. We’re happy to have you spread the word about this event, but Susan & Danielle are asking that people RSVP, just so they can be sure to have enough cookies.

Speed Mentoring is like speed dating, but with less pressure and more information about how to make your blog the best it can be.
WHEN: Saturday, April 28, 2-4 pm
WHERE: The Friends of the Library Event Room at the Downtown Library
Sounds fun, doesn’t it? Yes, yes it does.
Here’s how it will work: We’ve got a half dozen experienced local bloggers lined up to moderate some casual conversations about the business of blogging. You’ll choose a topic or a mentor, grab a chair, and settle in for 30 minutes of discussion about better blogging.When the bell rings, move to another seat. Or stay where you are. Or find an empty table and keep the conversation going on your own– it’s up to you.

We’ll be talking about creating a brand and building community and using social media — and about whatever else you want to discuss. What we won’t be doing is giving a formal presentation — our goal is to start a conversation about blogging, and we want you to participate. So come ready to listen — and to talk. We also have some exciting news about upcoming events, the new Engage OKC website (yes!) and our plans for world domination (ok maybe not that third thing, but you won’t know unless you come on Saturday, right? Right).
